Admissions
South Wigston High School is an 11-16 mixed comprehensive with 860 students on roll.
Students are admitted to the school from the age of 11+ with an admissions numbers of 175 in Year 7 for August 2023.
The school’s admission arrangements are managed by Leicestershire County Council:
Year 7 transfer – applications must be made online.
Mid-year transfer – applications must be made online.
The online process begins on 1st September with a closing date for applications of 31st October. Parents will be notified of school places in early March.
